Celebrated on October 13th
During the winter, birds migrate south, and in the spring they return to the north where the weather has changed from cold to warm. The warmer weather in the spring means there will now be enough food for the birds.
Not all birds migrate. There are some species that manage to survive winter while staying in the Northern Hemisphere. Typically, familiar species such pigeons, crows, ravens and blackbirds stay put all year round.
